P J Operating Corp. was founded in 1982 by Jeff Edington and Paul Wright in Shreve, Ohio. Both Jeff and Paul were working in the oil and gas supply business at the time. The company began by drilling a few oil and gas wells in Ohio.
PJO evolved into a manufacturer’s representative agency in 1987 representing a core of oil and gas manufacturers.
By 1990 PJO had moved from Jeff and Paul’s home offices to its current location on Grant Street in Wooster. With a large warehouse and yard, PJO worked with NOV, previously known as J.M. Huber Corp., to develop a “rod shop,” by injection molding plastic rod guides to sucker rods. PJO continues to be the only location east of the Mississippi to offer this service for customers.
P J Operating currently represents several manufacturers providing products for both conventional and shale wells, upstream, downstream, and midstream. We also represent manufacturers in the water and wastewater industry for both collections and treatment.
